It was a beautiful day so we decided to go to Godwin Park.
I guess there are some perks with living in the Big City.
There were so many great pictures that I decided it would be best to just make a montage. We "borrowed" the idea from our Cousin Reagan's Mommy and Daddy :-)
Now is as good a time as any to reflect how blessed we are.
Justin is doing exceptionally well in school, he is in the honors program at school and he made the A/B Honor Roll this grading period.
Things are coming along well for Makayla also, she was promoted to the second grade and, after a long fight, was accepted to a program that allows her the assistance she needs. Her progress is so much better this year.
We still have alot of work ahead of us but, things are looking up.
And, as for Mr. Wesley, he is growing into this wonderful, bright, independant, sensitive, strong little boy!
He makes friends easily but doesn't need someone to play with at all times; he can spend over 30 minutes on his own arranging and assembling his railroad. Setting up trains, people, trees, etc..
He amazes me everyday!
Mommies spend almost every waking moment trying to make sure we are doing all we can to ensure our children have all the needed skills to do well in life. It has been a roller coaster ride watching him develop, worring about meeting developmental milestones
and then being relieved when he reaches them.
He is talking in full sentances and is
finally starting to "come out of his shell" at school.
He has such a neat personality, he is just like his Mommy and Daddy and then he is shows us he is his own person as well.
I always try to remind myself to slow down and cherish these days, they are gone in blink of an eye.
Hello Again! Things have been crazy the last few months...to say the least.
I am going to do my best to catch up Wes' Blog while trying to keep it a little more current.
Halloween 2008 - Wesley's first year to go "trick or treating"!
His original costume was a dinosaur however, he was having no part of it. He ended up wearing his Fireman rainslicker and boots although he still wouldn't put the hat on...still cute!
(not Wes)
We had a ninja, fireman, asian princess and Hannah Montana.
Surprisingly Wesley actually went up to the doors and participated in the candy collecting :-)
Maybe next year we'll get some use out of the dinosaur costume...luckily Mommy bought a large size.
Fall is right around the corner so it is time to go looking for pumpkins!
We figured Dewberry Farms would be a fun place to do just that.
It took a while for all the "kids" to pick out their pumpkin but we finally made our final choices.
We all had a blast! Justin and Makayla got to do the zipline and other fun activities and we all got to go on a hay ride to see the lighted pumpkin trail.
It was alot of fun! I would recommend it to anyone!
They also had a corn maze and a ton of other cool activities for kids but we ran out of time. We plan to go back soon!
(Needless to say all the kids slept the whole way home)
There's a really cool place in Dallas, Going Bonkers, we ALL had a blast.
This picture was just a small part of the maze of slides, zip lines, tunnels and bridges.
Wesley played in the "toddler" area for about 15 minutes before he was utterly bored...mommy and daddy decided it was okay for him to come and play with the big kids. He had a blast going down the big slides with daddy. He also was quite the proficient climber :-)
The children are learning colors. Today is blue day.
This is Eden with Wesley, she greets him each day with a hug. He is not too sure about girls yet and is not too eager to return the display of affection :-) This was a very diplomatic attempt to get Wesley to trade the little car for his bus...it worked, mommy was very impressed. Ah, nothing like a popsicle after a hard day at school!
