Let's try this again

Well, we gave this whole cereal thing another shot.

and....

it was much better. I think he may have eaten a little over a tablespoon.

The thing is he wants to feed himself. So, Mommy adapted.

One spoon for Wes, one for Mommy; we take turns. It does work well though.

Gee, I wonder where that mouthful will end up??? Actually, most of what you see is tounge in the process of ejecting cereal from the mouth. He made some very unpleasant faces while conducting this experiment.

The Silly things parents make us wear....

One of the unwritten rules is dress a baby the way you want now because it is only a matter of time before they can object :-)

Christmas Evening

We spent Christmas Evening at Aunt Carla's.

Wow, where does the time go?

It seems like only yesterday we were bringing our sweet boy home!

So much has happened for us in such little time. I know one thing, his momma is in love!

Christmas Parade continued

Christmas Parade Post Continued.....

There were over 50 horses at the end of the parade.

A "real" Indian is riding this beautiful Paint horse.

Well, little man finally got tired and hungry. After dinner, he was out.

He, unfortunately, missed Santa and Mrs. Clause.

After the parade, we went back to Maw Maw's house.

He really enjoys listening to the different sound and songs that come from his new toy.

I think his favorite thing about it is new textures to chew on.

Santa Fe Christmas Parade!!!

We went to Wes' first Christmas Parade

(there sure are alot of "firsts" for a baby) December 15, 2006.

All the kids are anxiously waiting the arrival of the Parade.

After what seemed like forever the Color Guard made its appearance.

Here we are as one of the Santa Fe Fire trucks passed. Luckily this one didn't think it was necessary to sound off. The others did and it was so loud we had to cover Wes' ears.

What is this.....Mardi Gras Beads, around the baby's neck!

Oh no, we sure hope this isn't a sign of things to come :-)

Who is Johnny and why am I in his "jumper"?

Wesley is getting somewhat bored with his current toys and really wants to be on the go. He's not quite ready for a walker yet so we opted for the next best thing....a jumper.

He more dangles and stands on his tippy toes than anything but it is a new vantage point for him and he enoys it so, what are two parents to do.....

OK, this was just one of those photo ops we just couldn't resist.

I have a feeling "gansta baby" will not be his favorite momento!

It sure tickled Mommy and Daddy though. Those long car rides sure wear out a baby.

December 2 & 3, 2006...Christmas Tree Time!!!!!

Well, Wesley's First Christmas is just around the corner so,

we decided to all pile in the truck and pick out his first tree!

We finally decided on the perfect tree,

Daddy was a little shocked at the prices but, it's all worth it for the perfect one!

Later that night I got a special gift from all of the kids, a beautiful ring, necklace and earring set with Wesley's birthstone. It was a wonderful surprise and I will treasure it always!

Sunday we made and decorated Sugar Cookies and Hot Chocolate; it was an awesome weekend, just in time for the Holidays!

Just a swingin'!

Now that I am officially "teething" I put EVERYTHING into my mouth.

I even try two thing at once.

I f I could just get my hand AND the doggie ring (which happens to be by Favorite toy) into my mouth a the same time, all in the World would be right!

My Grandma Boochie came to visit!!!

I LOVE when she comes to see me.

She smiles at me and I smile back....

I know her and I turn to the sound of her voice.

Here I am in my infamous Bumbo :-)

I can get out of it now though, all I have to do is arch my back and I pop right out!

Look at those feet....they are getting huge (and a little fat).

Did I tell you, I cut my first tooth November 19th, the second was soon to follow; it arrived exactly one week later. My two bottom teeth are here!!!! Watch out solids, here I come :-)
